Natural History; BIBLE; Dragons; Basilisks; Engraved frontis; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; xii, 13-272 pages; Frontispiece engraved by Samuel Hill. (12mo) 6 3/4x4 1/4, period tree calf, spine gilt, red morocco lettering piece. Ownership on ffp, upper/lower backstrip loss, corner loss on covers. Provenance- Perley Howe, marlboro, signed Aug 7th 1793. Contents generally good with marginall offset toning to endmatter. Descriptions of many mythical beasts such as dragons as well others. .
