The Gospel According to St Luke, Chapter 2, verses 1-20, taken from the Authorised Version of the Bible printed by The Curwen Press in black and red ink and beautifully illustrated with line drawings by J F Doeve. A limited edition, one of five hundred copies, designed and produced in Christmas 1954 for the friends of George Rainbird and Ruari McLean, founders of the publishing house George Rainbird Ltd. Printed Christmas card laid in. Fine in black paper covered boards with gilt pictorial decoration, protected by a plain paper dust wrapper which is lightly soiled and chipped to the spine end and corners. J F Doeve 1954
