The book contains the listings for Andrew Johnson, Cave Johnson and dozens of notable Nashville personalities of the day. Numerous listings for barbers and skilled laborers (various occupations) noted as "COLORED". Business listings and numerous vignette illustrations for carriage makers, printers, grocers, banks, cabinet makers, dress makers, hotels etc..<br /> <br /> Formerly owned by Jack Bass Jr., a founding member of the Nashville Gun Club and a member of the Belle Meade Country Club. Jack was a noted horse lover and Investment banker in Nashville. Several pencil annotations throughout denoting connections to the BASS family in Nashville.
