RARE with all five plates (5 plus frontis), including large folding plate "Denvir's Hotel" Downpatrick. A few stray blue pencil placeholding marks. Previous owner's name (John Henry Blaney) and address
(1135 Ellis Street, San Francisco) to first, and final blanks. "A satire on the corpulent Mathew Forde (1785-1837) of Seaforde, Co. Down, see No. 16227. He was Col. of the North Downshire Militia. The allusion in the quotation from Richard III is to his second marriage (1829) to Lady Harriet Savage, a widow. Burke, Diet, of the Landed Gentry, 1847."
