London: No Publisher, 1840. xii, 222pp. Original quarter morocco and cloth binding, gilt title to spine. Spine faded, rubbed, especially to outer joints, slightly chipped to head. Slightly browned internally, but generally fairly clean, previous owners' (William Joyner Ellis) armorial bookplate to front pastedown. Twelve full-page engravings (as called for). Presentation copy from the author to Ellis. Presentation Copy from Author. First Edition. Quarter Morocco and Cloth. Good. 8vo.
