Philadelphia; (1910): George W. Jacob and Co. Limited Edition. Quarto. Limited to only 150 large paper copies. The present copy is # 138. Portrait frontispiece, 481pp. The author argues that Napoleon's reign brought more justice to the French people than they had known in any era. Frequent reference to official dictates and commentary on Napoleon's involvement with women in his life. A near fine copy bound in 1/4 white paper over light blue cloth stamped in gilt, spine lettered in gilt, top edge gilt all others uncut, light wear to corners with one bumped. In original blue cloth dust jacket, spine lettering gilt and a bit of finger soiling.
