In a poor dustwrapper, very worn and missing the front inner flap. The wrapper is now protected in a clear, removable, sleeve. Small ownership inscription on front end-paper. 360 pages. Frontispiece and 18 illustrations. 3 maps. This is Buhl's climbing autobiography culminating in his solo ascent of Nanga Parbat in the Himalayas.
