New York: G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1952. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good in Good dust jacket. 22 x 15 cm. Octavo. 320pp. Black boards with white emblem in dust jacket. Jacket illustrated by John Teppich. First edition with 1952 on copyright page and no additional printings noted. Corners are lightly bumped and some rubbing to the bottom of the boards. Spotting to top foredge. Chipping and edgewear to jacket including a small piece out of head of jacket spine. Fading to jacket spine. All four flaps of the jacket are minimally clipped; original price of $4.00 remains present on front flap. Uncommon early Gardner book on pseudoscience.
