About This Item

New York: Brewer & Warren, 1930. Hardcover. Very Good/fair. 2nd printing. Cloth in dust jacket, book very good, jacket fair with chipping, wear and loss, especially to fine. Inscribed, "To Stefansson -- this story of a timid adventure toward his latitudes, is inscribed by his friend, Rockwell Kent, 1935." With Vilhjalmur Stefansson's bookplate and also bookplate of Dartmouth College Library (and small stamp Discarded by Dartmouth College Library), light stains to top of endpaper. The two were good friends and later collaborated on "Unsolved Mysteries of the Arctic" (1938) with Kent supplying illustrations. An excellent association copy.
