About This Item

New York: University Books, 1965. Reprint. Hardcover with Dust Jacket. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo. Pp. x, 10-189. Bound in full blue cloth with silver lettering stamped on front board and spine. Bookseller tag on the front pastedown (Samuel Weiser Inc., New York). In the price-clipped dust jacket that shows just slight edge-wear. The son of W. W. Shirley, the Regius Professor of Ecclesiastical History at Oxford, Ralph Shirley wrote widely on astrology, reincarnation, occultism and related fields, all while serving as a director of William Rider and Son, publisher of literature of occultism and mysticism and, indeed, the first edition of this work.
