In the original unclipped dust wrapper.The first novel in which the master criminal Dr. Fu-Manchu appears, collecting short stories together to form a novel in which Fu-Manchu eludes and frustrates Dr. Petrie and Nayland Smith.Also published in the U.S. as 'The Insidious Dr. Fu-Manchu', and made into a film titled 'The Mysterious Dr. Fu Manchu' in 1929.By Sax Rohmer, the pen-name of Arthur Henry Ward, who is best known for his series of novels which feature the master criminal Fu Manchu, who first appeared in the 1911 novel 'The Mystery of Dr. Fu-Manchu'.The eighteenth edition. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart, with some light marks to the boards and spine. Very light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Spots to the fore edge. Dust wrapper is edge worn with closed tears, with a larger chip and closed tear to the tail of the front wrap. Wraps are marked, particularly to the rear wrap and spine, and to the reverse. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
