About This Item

New York: R.F. Fenno & Company, 1895. First published in England in 1888. This is a Very Good copy of a Later Printing of the First American Edition. Blue cloth binding, ruled on the cover; gilt lettering and decorations on the spine. Clean text; 250 pages, with six pages of publisher's adverts in the rear. The publication date is the correct 1895, but without the pictorial binding of the True First; publisher's adverts indicate a uniform series was issued. Very small chip affecting the rear paste-down and endpaper. Mildly bumped, with wear to the margins of the spine. Light sunning around the edges. Not beautiful, but a solid reading copy of an interesting variant. No dustjacket. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Later Printing.. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket.
