Hart (1864-1946). The author was the leading American western movie star of the silent film era in the early part of the 20th century. He also wrote screenplays and directed and produced movies during this time. --- This deluxe edition edited and introduced by Martin Ridge. Includes a frontis photographic portrait of Hart, and several additional photos. --- Number 92 in a series of annually published works continuously produced since 1903 by R. R. Donnelley & Sons, owners of the Lakeside Press. The books were not made available for sale by the publisher; rather, they were given as gifts to employees, vendors and customers at Christmastime. --- In full dark brown cloth-covered boards w/publisher's device on cover and titling on spine, all in gilt; top edge gilt. Lacks the glassine wrapper. --- A bright, clean, tightly-bound copy but with a spot of an unknown clear material to back panel.; 16mo - 6 to 7 in. tall; lxiii, 417 pages .
