Hardcover, brown cloth boards with gilt text on front and spine. Exterior shows some minor spotting and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. The rear board has some dents and bumps along the edges as well as some faint creasing in the cloth. This is the reason the condition grade is just VG+ and not higher. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues. Pages are clean and crisp. Page 49 has a 1 inch tear along the top edge in the corner was folded over. This book came from the collection of Miss Sallie E. Robinson, who was a very prominent African-American from the Philadelphia area. Her signature and date appears on the front end page and the backside of the rear end page. No other markings noted, no bookplates, no library markings.
