Spine ruled in 6 compartments. Gilt center tool and title. Top edge gilt. Marbled endpapers. Half titles. Frontispiece in each volume. Title page vignette illustrations. 14 other illustrations. Text is clean and crisp. A very nice copy. Ferguson 12506. "An interesting account of early Tasmania, with charming illustrations, from sketches by the Bishop of Tasmania and the author." The copy of Ann Shirley noted polar historian with her signature. 1852
