Superb, tight first softbound edition of this memoir by one of the survivors of this infamous WW2 march, handsomely inscribed and signed by the author in blue fineline on front flyleaf: "4/9/01 / Bataan Day / I hope you find / this story interesting. / Lester Tenney." Tenney (1920-2019) was a tank commander with the 192nd Tank Battalion and endured three and a half years of slave labor; he went on postwar to become a finance professor at Arizona State University. From the collection of Adlai E. Stevenson III (1930-2021), U.S. Senator from Illinois (1969-81).
