"God help the drinking man." - Attributed to Edgar Allan Poe (speaking from the afterlife on page 130)<br /> <br /> Original first edition of this text that is part autobiography and part spirits speaking from the beyond. The author relays conversations held via medium with Edgar Allan Poe, Dr. Franklin and more... Original cloth binding with gilt stamping to front cover. Binding clean and tight overall. Some light toning and a few dog eared corners. One William and Mary stamp to early page (but no other library marks etc.).
