About This Item
Boston : Little, Brown, 1918. Book. Illus. by 8 full page photo plates. Good. Decorative Cloth. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. A missionary doctor's memoir of years in Shanghai. Early on she mentions turning 27, so this is 1908. She is obviously not only intrepid, but also very intelligent, becoming head of the Womens and childrens wing of the hospital. A nice, solid blue cloth copy with bright gilt title on the front, and almost as bright on the unfaded spine. A necklace in aqua around the title on the front. Some wear at the edges and spine ends. Repaired internal hinges have solidified this copy, protected in a clear, mylar dust jacket. .
