Small part of spine heavily rubbed. Coloured endpapers, superb text; no soiling, no dog-eared pages, slight foxing on endpapers and title page only. Previous owner's bookplate on front paste-down page (Captain Walker, 66th Regiment) 5" x 7.5", 208 pages, illustrated. Fascinating look at science, art and inventions in the mid-19th century.
