A limited edition of this beautifully illustrated collection of poetry by Raoul Ponchan Limited edition of La Muse Au Cabaret by Raoul Ponchan in the original publisher's paper wraps. Limited to one thousand copies of which this is number 686. Illustrated with original colour lithographs by Jean-Denis Malcles, twentieth century French artist, painter and production designer. Raoul Ponchan was a French poet and friend of Arthur Rimbaud, and one of only seven recipients of the first edition of Rimbaud's A Season in Hell. He also contributed to La Courrier francais, a satirical weekly magazine. Illustrated with nine lithographic plates. Collated. In the original paper wraps. Externally, smart. There is some rubbing to the head and tail of the spine and some slight loss to the tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with some occasional spots throughout.
