Very Good+ with slight lean to spine, a little foxing to edges and mottling to cloth, in pictorial dust jacket designed by Hoffman, small closed tear in top of front panel, slightly chipped along top edge, dust-soiled and a bit foxed but attractive nonetheless. A Phoenix Press hardboiled mystery, rare in dust jacket, featuring Duke McCale, "a product of the Chicago slums who looked more like a gangster than a dick.
