About This Item

London: Grant Richards. Good with no dust jacket. 1909. First Edition. Hardcover. Green cloth cover has considerable wear at edges, head and tail of spine. Corners bumped and frayed, particularly lower front. Some chipping at head and tail of spine. Gilt lettering on spine is legible. White lettering and outline of tsetse fly on front covering is partially chipped and worn. Front hinge cracked at the half-title page, backing still holding. Signature of author on first blank leaf, which is tipped in. The signature appears to be authentic, but I cannot guarantee the leaf was not tipped in from another book. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 300 pages .

My business is strictly on-line sales. I carry an inventory of about 2000 books. About half of these are modern fiction. Most of the rest are scholarly academic books concentrated in the areas of natural science, philosophy, history, and literature.
