New York: Horace Liveright, Inc., 1931. O'Neill's trilogy is a modern version of "The Orestia," a difficult play that is nonetheless a high spot in American theatre. This is a Fine copy of the First Trade Edition [there was also a Limited edition published]. Green cloth binding with titling in gilt on the spine; the front cover has a reproduced author signature in gilt with decorative ruling and a stylized wave in light green. Clean text; 256 pages; black topstain, decorative endpapers. There is a tiny crease to the bottom corner of the front cover; else a Fine, sharp copy. The dustjacket is unclipped, with a darkened spine and barely perceptable wear at the corners. A superior copy that comes with a slipcase bound in green cloth. Light wear at the margins and evidence of a label removl on the spine.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good Plus. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
