About This Item

London: Piatkus, 1989. First edition, 1989. Hardback. 274pp. Dust jacket. A group of aircraft enthusiasts exploring the remains of a Junkers plane shot down over East Anglia in 1942, find not only the plane but also a complete and unidentified skeleton in the aircraft crater. DI James Roland and DS Patrick Mansfield are given the difficult task of identifying the body. When they discover that the skeleton has gunshot wounds, it begins to look like a murder hunt as well. But it takes a second unexpected death for them to realise that the murderer is still alive and living among them. Book in near fine condition, and seems unread. Dust jacket very good. Unclipped. A little light edge wear and creasing. Small area of damp staining to lower edge around the spine.
