Whitcombe & Tombs, Christchurch, 1950. First Edition. Hardcover (Cloth backed boards). Good Condition/Poor Condition. Illustrator: John Pascoe – photography. Inscribed by Author. the dust jacket is torn, taped, and chipped. The book has the publishers pasted label on the spine, which has slight loss just above the word mountains. Pasted to the front end page is a plate presenting it to the previous owner. On the next couple of pages the previous owner has pasted newspaper clippings of her nursing graduation and class. On the half title page there is an inscription from the author dated June 16, 1971 stating "congratulations + warm respects from" and then signed by the author . loosely inserted into the book there is loosely inserted 6 months later a letter from the author and again signed by him. and there is a 2nd piece of ephemera signed by John Pascoe loosely inserted. apart from the clippings pasted, the book is in very good condition.
