A working copy only, lacking the front board and any front blanks, rear board barely attached. 90 pp. plus one page publisher's adverts for other plays at rear. The text is complete with some occasional foxing. The play, as noted on thne title page, was first performed Saturday, August 3, 1793 at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. George Colman the Younger (1762-1836) was a successful playwright and poet, his plays being ".. a curious mixture of genuine comedic force and sentimentality..."
