About This Item
New York: Doubleday, Page & Co, 1912. First Edition. Small Quarto. Presentation copy inscribed by the author to a close friend. Books signed by Mrs. Stratton-Porter are quite scarce as she enjoyed her privacy. Those books she did sign were usually non-fiction titles and were presentation copies to close friends only, as with the present copy. 369(1)pp., illustrated throughout in color and in black & white, bound in brown cloth pictorially stamped and lettered in dark brown, spine lettering green, covers and edges rubbed, some wear to spine ends and corners. A very good copy.
