New York: Cupples & Leon Company, 1930. First edition. Slipcased. Near Fine. A bright copy of a beautiful book. Twelve color illustrations including the frontis and title page. Navy cloth cover pictorially stamped with an image of Mother Goose, in red, riding on a white swan in profile against a golden moon. Title and author in gild. Black and white illustrated endpapers as well as numerous black and illustrations throughout the text. Also includes index. IN A SLIPCASE that reproduces color illutrations and rhymes from the book. The slipcase is taped on one top edge, missing a quarter inch from the bottom, and the seems are splitting. Illustrations and verse aren't affected. SCARCE IN SLIPCASE, maybe the only one listed on the Internet.
