London: Country Life Limited, 1936. FIRST TRADE EDITION with tipped in signature of Peter Scott on the half title page. Full blue cloth with gold lettering on the spine and front cover. Moderate wear to the extremities. Jacket is not price-clipped but is has been tape reinforced at the top & bottom of the spine and the the top corner. Lightly soiled. Previous owner's bird bookplate on front free endpage, previous owner's signature "Eugene E Murphy" and the note "Given to me by Mrs. Mruphy, Augusta, Aug. 1952". Overall a GOOD book in a GOOD minus jacket. A gift item for the collector who can't afford the "first, first" edition. Sir Peter Markham Scott, CH, CBE, DSC, FRS, FZS, (September 14, 1909 August 29, 1989) was a British ornithologist, conservationist, painter and sportsman. . Signed by Author. First Edition.
