About This Item

More's Utopia & His Social Teaching by W. E. Campbell.

Hardback, 1930, first edition, apparently inscribed by the author on front free endpaper (there is no signature to the inscription), reading: "Mr E. Symes from the writer March 10th 1930" (there is a previous owner signature and later date beneath this inscription); published by Eyre & Spottiswoode Publishers Ltd, London, 164 pages.

Octavo/8vo, measures around 7 1/2" by 5 1/8" by 3/4". No dust jacket. Dark blue cloth binding, gilt lettering to spine. Slight discolouration to spine. A little marking and scuffing to boards but quite clean. Signs of rubbing and shelf-wear, especially at spine edges and board corners. Binding reasonably firm, slight slackness to spine. Page edges very foxed, also browned, scuffed and a little marked. The odd bit of foxing to page surfaces but mainly confined to edges and endpapers. No underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
