Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering on spine. Botanically lined drawings on endpapers. No condition issues with hardcover. DJ has slight yellowing and very minor edgewear. The taxonomic overview of the Moraeas is followed by sections devoted to their morphology, aspects of conservation, a discussion of their horticultural importance and cultivation. The greater portion of this work is devoted to a systematic treatment of the 103 species.
A significant feature of this book are 66 magnificiant watercolors by Fay Anderson, illustrating some 64% of the species discussed by Glodblatt.
