About This Item

Berkeley, CA; [no printing date, about 1978]: Howell, North Books. First edition, first printing . Hardcover. The Monon was Indiana's home railroad, the shortest line between Indianapolis and Chicago. It proved a railroad of antiquity and charm, but of negligible origination potential, with excessive dependence on its connections at Louisville. 323 pages with photographs, locomotive roster and bibliography. Map endpapers. Mild musty oder. Near fine in near fine dust jacket with light edge wear. A very nice copy.
