About This Item
London: Will Golston Ltd, 1918. Book. Illus. by Illustrated. Very Good. Hardcover. Inscribed by Author(s). 1st Edition. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. This is the 1918 Goldston edition of Ganthony's classic treatise on ventriloquism. Not so much a "how to" book with lip technique, etc., this book is a 'concept' book Ganthony offers to professionals. It's full of "up to date" and "modern" material in the form of sketches and routines. One hundred years later some of the premises in it are still quite good and easily adaptable for contemporary culture. As was Goldston's custom in books he published, various ads for items available from his magical supply depot are sprinkled throughout the book. Charming Edwardian illustrations used throughout. .
