'Missionary Travels and Researches in South Africa' by David Livingstone is a written recollection of the author's travels and experiences while traversing various different regions of Africa. Livingstone's decision to publish the travelogue with John Murray was seen as an unconventional choice, but it quickly became a bestseller. This text is said to include field science alongside 'exceptionally sympathetic descriptions of African people'.David Livingstone was a famous British physician, explorer, and Christian missionary. He spent much of his life trying to solve an 'age-old mystery' about the Nile River that would bring him the fame to end the African Slave Trade.
