Dust jacket is used, marked, heavily torn at edges and reinforced with paper tape. Very good in good minus dust jacket.. 8vo. pp xiv, 383. Colour illustrated dust jacket. Original publisher's maroon cloth with gilt lettering at spine. Inscribed by the author to Elizabeth Ward at front flyleaf: ""To Elizabeth. With warmest wishes recalling most hectic but momentous days together as members of the Mountbatten team (not forgetting one State banquet at Government House Rangoon!) - India 1947-48, from Alan. November 1951."" Alan Campbell-Johnson was Press Attach� on Mountbatten's staff while Mountbatten was Viceroy and Governor General of India. Elizabeth (Ward) was the secretary of Lady Mountbatten at the same time.
