Volume itself has gray covers with sharp gilt lettering on the spine and a Hard Work U emblem at the bottom of the spine and at the bottom of the front cover near the lower outer edge. Today, College of the Ozarks is unique among higher educational institutions in America: no tuition is charged, all students work on campus each semester, debt is openly discouraged, and no federal or state loans are made. Students receive work grades as well as class grades and meet high personal standards of conduct. There are two very small brown marks on the outer edge of the pages.
