Dust jacket: Light rubbing and shelf wear. Slight creasing to edges. Preserved in a removable jacket protector. Overall jacket condition is Very Good. Book: Red paper covered boards. Bump to head of spine, slight bumping to corners. Very clean text throughout. From the private collection of renowned British archaeologist Sinclair Hood. Inscribed to Hood and his wife, and signed by the author to front free endpaper: 'For Sinclair and Rachel in Friendship, Nanno'. Hood conducted excavations at Knossos between 1957 and 1961 and was a well published authority on the Minoan civilization. With Hood's occasional pencilled margin marking to text.
