Oxford University Press, 1955. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1955. First Edition. 241 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering. Contains black and white illustrations by Edward Ardizzone. Moderate crinkling to gutters however binding remains firm. Pages are moderately tanned with noticeable foxing. Heavier tanning to free endpapers. Pen markings to front free endpaper. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Slight crushing and fraying to spine ends. Moderate splits to spine. Moderate sunning to spine and edges. Gilt lettering is darkened. Visible wear marks to boards.
