A review copy, with the review slip from the publisher laid in. Owner name in pencil at top of front endpaper; some soiling to front endpaper and foredge of pages. The jacket is somewhat soiled and rubbed, and has chips at the corners and the bottom 1" of the spine. Includes endnotes, bibliography, a list of uncollected articles by Nock, and an index; 230 pages. Nock was a writer and editor whose influence was felt in the first half of the 20th century.
