Near Fine. oblong 8vo., unpaginated, with black & white images taken by Thomas Victor. SIGNED by Baryshnikov on half title page. Bound in publishers black cloth over paper, white dust jacket illustrated. Dust jacket is price clipped, book is clean and unmarked. Dust jacket now protected in mylar sleeve. Mr. Victor did book-jacket and publicity photographs for hundreds of writers and poets, including Ann Beattie, Susan Sontag, V. S. Naipaul, Saul Bellow, Eudora Welty, John Updike, John Cheever and John Irving. Mr. Victor was also the resident photographer for the poetry series at the 92d Street Y, and exhibited his work there.

Mr. Victor published two books of photographs of dancers - ''Quintet'' and ''The Making of a Dance: Mikhail Baryshnikov and Carla Fracci in 'Medea.' '' He also took photographs for ''Preferences,'' a 1974 poetry anthology edited by Richard Howard, and was working on an anthology of his literary photographs at the time of his death. - NYT.
