Universal City: Universal Studios, 1969. Revised Draft script for the 1971 film. Eight revision pages bound in after the script, and with additional revision pages and a four page "Staff and Crew List" laid in. Copy belonging to uncredited still photographer Jack Stager, with "J. Stager" in manuscript ink on the laid in leaves.

Based on the 1961 play by screenwriter James Goldman. Grieving the death of his wife, a retired judge suffers the delusion that he is Sherlock Holmes and is placed in a mental hospital by his brother, where he meets his Dr. Watson-a psychiatrist named Dr. Mildred Watson.

Set and shot on location in New York City.

Self-wrappers with front wrapper integral with title page, dated October 29, 1969, with October 29 struck, and the annotation 11/12 beneath, in manuscript marker, noted as REVISED, with credits for screenwriter James Goldman. 146 leaves, with last page of text numbered 26. Xerographic duplication, rectos only, with yellow and pink revision pages laid in, dated variously between 1/2/70 and 1/27/70. Pages Near Fine, bound with two gold screw brads.
