About This Item
New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1940. Hardcover. Illustrations by Jacob Bates Abbott. 8vo. Pale blue cloth with dark blue lettering and decoration, pictorial price-clipped dust jacket. 275pp. Frontispiece, line drawings. Very good/ very good. Binding faintly edgeworn and slightly "flecked"; mild jacket edgewear, with couple of archivally-closed (on verso) edge tears -- but overall bright and nice. Attractive and tight reprint edition of this 1940 yarn (originally Henry Holt), part of this publisher's "Famous Horse Stories" series. A lovely copy.
