About This Item
First edition of a classic work on popular astronomy. Brown cloth boards with bevelled edges; gilt titles on spine and front, and zodiac design in gilt on blue on front. Contains 32 star maps and various other illustrations.
Boards are rubbed in places and are worn along the edges; corners are bumped and the head and foot of the spine are lightly crushed. Previous owner's name on front free endpaper; small bookshop sticker on rear pastedown; pages otherwise clean; light creases to corners of a few preliminary pages. Binding starting to become slightly loose but text block remaining firmly attached.
