Orange hardcover binding is clean, silver titles, sunned along spine edge, rounded corners darkened, upper corner scuffed, spine backstrap damaged, torn. Internals quite clean and unmarked, sewn binding tight, solid. Red ribbon page marker. Illustrated paste-down. On front endpaper: Memorial Fund to the Defenders of Verdun Document. Rear endpapers with advertisements for Michelin maps. Four hundred thousand Frenchmen died for their Country on the battlefields of Verdun.
