About This Item
London: Hodder and Stoughton, 2001 034082106x. First edition. First printing of first UK hardback edition. Near Fine/Near Fine. The only 'blemish' is a very small and unobtrusive plain sticker at top right hand corner of front end page which probably covers a price mark. Not price clipped. No inscriptions. 314 pages. Nearly 9" by 5.5". A fascinating and often hilarious selection of Parkinson's best 'occasionals' on soccer from his earliest Barnsley-watching days to perceptive comments on the modern game. .
