The author commenced his diaries at the end of the 1960s – newly married and struggling to make his name in the world of television. But, just around the corner was the monumentally successful television programme "The Monty Python Show" – which led to the creation of the iconic films Monty Python and the Holy Grail and The Life of Brian. Minor rubbing of the book corners and back strip corners. A few spots to the front text edge along with some very light age toning. A little rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and creasing to the top edge of the rear panel. There is a sticker to the top right hand corner of the front panel stating "As Read on BBC Radio 4".
