List of Illustrations, Who's Who in the Diaries, acknowledgements, introduction by author and index. The text is illustrated with three inserts, of eight pages each, of colour and black-and-white photography. Photographic end pages showing the spines of the author's various diaries. Purple coloured boards with silver coloured titles. Photographic paperback binding with pink, silver and black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. The author commenced his diaries at the end of the 1960s  newly married and struggling to make his name in the world of television. But, just around the corner was the monumentally successful television programme "The Monty Python Show"  which led to the creation of the iconic films Monty Python and the Holy Grail and The Life of Brian. Minor rubbing of the book corners and back strip corners. A few spots to the front text edge along with some very light age toning. A little rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and creasing to the top edge of the rear panel. There is a sticker to the top right hand corner of the front panel stating "As Read on BBC Radio 4".
