Large heavy grey cloth with gilt (roughly) 9 1/4" by 6 1/2" by 2" deep (inches) headband, 729 pages plus 8 pages of b & w plates at rear, plus 4 folded maps (measuring) map # 1 - 12 1/2" by 9" ; map # - 2 15 1/2" by 9" ; map # - 3 22" by 16" ; map # 4 - 19" by 14 1/2" (inches) all fitting in a pocket attached to back board. All maps are in Near Fine condition with the exception of # 1 which has a light shadow of a partial cup circle on reverse (minor), book is in Very Good Plus condition with a minor few marks (tiny), missing dust jacket. Check out the scans. . First English Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good Plus/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
