About This Item
London: Victor Gollancz, 1963. First U.K. Edition. Octavo. 192 pages. Originally printed in 1941 in Astounding Science Fiction, he lengthened it in 1958 for the American edition. Gollancz published this edition in a small print run since it was central to his five-volume imaginative History of the Future. A very nice copy bound in red paper covered boards, spine lettering gilt, in the original UK unclipped dust jacket with a small stain near foot of spine and a bit of toning to edges.
