Paris: Larousse et Boyer, 1860. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 48pp. No date c 1860s. INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY AUTHOR on front free endpaper, presentation inscription in another hand on title page. Brown textured cloth, quarter leather bound, elaborate gilt scrolling and lettering to spine, all edges gilt. Wear and scuffing along spine, foxing to endpapers and first and last several pages, binding is sound. A rare example of a book inscribed and signed by lexicographer Pierre Larousse. Text in French.
