New York, U.S.A.: Doubleday & Company, Inc., 1946. A very nice copy which has been signed to the title page by R.V.C. Bodley. He was an associate of T.E. Lawrence before leaving for the Middle East where he spent many years living and studying in the desert with the nomadic Arabs. Signed copies of his work are scarce. This is a fascinating book about the life of Mohammed and his teachings. Bound in the publishers fine weave sand coloured cloth with gilt title lettering on blue spine label to spine. First edition as stated on the verso of the title page. Housed in the arid desert and camel scene dustwrapper which has some loss to head of spine otherwise good condition. Protected in a removable archival booksleeve to preserve its condition. A very interesting book which is well made and has survived well.. Signed by Author. First Edition. Cloth. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. FIRST EDITION.
